I decided to try something a little different in the way of challenges this week. I have been lurking for a while watching the “Less is More” challenge blog and decide this week to give it a go!
The challenge is to make a one layer card with the theme “Off The Edge”.
I’m not sure that I am entirely happy with the card but it is my first attempt for this challenge and I think perhaps my style will improve with practice. The trees and the sentiment are all from Darkroom Door.

jeannie - these challenges are quite evil - they are never as easy as they sound or as Chrissie and Mandi make them look! Love the stamps - and great card x
Hi Jeannie
Welcome to the challenge
It's a popular misconception that CAS cards are easy One layer ones are the toughest by far! Accurate placement is crucial and white space can be a bit scary to look at,
Do hope you will want to join in again. there are some craking entries this week, sure they will all inspire you
Great card btw

It's great that you have taken the plunge and joined us this week instead of standing in the wings waiting....
This is lovely. It would have been fine with just the larger tree on the left (part of it is off the page) and the eye would then not have been distracted by the one on the right.
I love this set of stamps and the sentiment is super, but as it is rubber, you can't see exactly where you're stamping and getting it straight is difficult. If you look at our tips and tutorial page and click on the 'Lego and acetate stamp postitioner' there's a cheap way of making an aid to getting stamp exactly where you want them.
Thanks so much for joining us, your card is great, and we'll see you next week!

These challenges are difficult but well worth joining in as we can only learn from it. I love looking round everyone's entries, it's quite addictive though.
Love your trees. Well done on your first entry. x
So glad you came to play on the LiM challenge . . . I really enjoy them each week.
LOVE that tree stamp and like the card you've made.
Hugs, Sandra
You picked a tough challenge to start off with...but you've done an excellent job with it!
I really struggled with this one and I've been playing along for several weeks!
I think a lot of us are finding these challenges very challenging! I do like your card, it's great. Jo x
Super card Jeannie, I agree with Chrissie about omitting the right hand tree, but it's still lovely. Welcome to the challenge. x
