Yipee! My Card is Published

We were asked a while ago at Scrapbook Sisters to make some more cards for Creative Cardmaking Magazine with a colourful summery theme. I was very pleased to see when the magazines arrived in the shop this afternoon that my card had been included.

I used K & Co Citronella papers which were left over from a scrapbook class, a few stamps and a sewing machine!

Mojo Monday - Week 95

Mojo95Sketch

Here is the sketch for this weeks Mojo Monday. This week I used Papermania Blueberry Hill papers and of course a Gorjuss Girl stamped image - I am becoming obsessed with these  - I must use some of my other stamps because of course I have one or two others! I have left the card without a greeting at the moment but that cab be easily added at a later date.

THE NEXT LEVEL - CHALLENGE 7 - SKETCH WITH 3D IMAGE

Here is this week's sketch for The Next Level......

3D Sketch

.....and the challenge this week is to include a 3D element.

17TH JULY 2008 005

I started with a stamped Gorguss Girl image - I just love these stamps! I then stamped my new Gayle Bond Flora and Fauna stamps (from Scrapbook Sisters) and stamped on various off cuts of patterned papers. I then added these to the first circle which I made into a ring. I then attached it with foam pads to make it 3D although this doesn't show very well on the photo. The greeting stamp is Papermania and the flowers are Prima.

I really enjoyed making this card and using up all those little pieces of patterned paper.

Two Pages For Me

I'm really enjoying the Scrapbook Sisters Deco Page swap. I have made a couple more pages but cannot show them here yet until my swap partners have received them.

Here are two pages that I have received, the first is from Bev W

The Next Level - Challenge 6

At The Next Level this week the challenge is to use buttons and bows  so having added 4 buttons and 2 ribbons I think that I have fulfilled the criteria.

10TH JULY 2008 002

I've used Basic Grey Lime Rickey, one of my lovely Gorguss Girls and a borrowed Martha Stewart punch (thanks Karen!)

Mojo Monday - week 94

Here is my latest card for the Mojo Monday Challenge. Here's the sketch for this week;

I've had a Basic Grey theme going on this week and I have used the Phoebe papers for this one. I find that the 6x6 pads are ideal for cardmaking and I seem to have a growing collection. I've used one of my lovely Gorjuss Girl stamps and the card is finished off with ribbon from my stash, Prima flowers and a button.

Carefree.

18th June 2008 060

I've had these Cloud 9 Designs - Max's Backyard papers for a while - I bought them as soon as they came into Scrapbook Sisters as I thought they would make great papers for layouts of Matthew but when I found these old pictures of Holly they just seemed to fit. We were on holiday in North Yorkshire the summer before Holly started infant school and while we were out one day we stopped at a village with a stream running though it. As it was a hot day we let the children paddle and cool down.

Apart from the square epoxy sticker in the corner all the embellishments are made from the papers and some Glossy Accents.
