Let It Snow

www.lilackittycreations.blogspot.co.uk

This week at Scrapbook Sisters the card challenge theme is “Let It Snow”

004

I’ve used some lovely cream and green Cosmo Cricket paper which is in the shop but I can’t remember the name! I coloured Gayle’s beautiful digi-stamp reindeer with the palest shades of green Copics and used pale green glitter on the snowflakes. I then punched out snowflakes with the small Woodware snowflake punch on green Bazzil and added green pearls to the centre

Better late than never

Well I’m a bit late posting my card for the design team this week at Scrapbook Sisters – I’ve had flu and it’s slowed me down!!! – well that’s my excuse anyway!

The theme this week was The Christmas Tree – so here’s my card;

The background is a piece of my beloved Basic Grey from the Blitzen range which has to be my all time favourite paper range ever! The snowman is one of Gayle Bonds digi stamps available here.  I don’t know the maker of the Christmas Tree branch stamp but it has been in my stash for a long time and I quite like the effect of it stamped straight on to patterned paper. I then finished it off with Frosted Lace Stickles.

Scrapbook Sisters Challenge 10

The theme this week is Christmas Colours so I have gone with traditional reds and greens.

003

Instead of colouring the images this time I printed the digital stamp on to three different kinds of patterned paper – all Basic Grey apart from the white paper which has an all over swirl pattern although it is hard to see the detail in the photo. I added gold Glamour Dust to the reindeer and red Liquid Pearls for their noses. The background paper is edged with Bundled Sage and then outlined with a black journaling pen. All materials are from Scrapbook Sisters although not all are currently in stock.

Finishing off………

While having a little tidy up in my craft room recently – I do like it to be organised! – I realised that I had many layouts that needed finishing  so I spent a much needed relaxing day scrapping some unfinished layouts. There are 11 layouts so I will show them over the next couple of days. Here’s the first layouts;

010 013

These layouts were started in class at Scrapbook Sisters and the papers were glittered papers from My Minds Eye.

As soon as I saw the background paper in the first layout I was dying to outline the pattern in white fine liner pen and although it was time-consuming I like the result. The journaling tab is made using a Woodware chippie frame as a template again.

On the second layout the flowers are cut from one of the papers in the kit and I added a birdcage die cut and the butterflies punched from Woodware punches.

More layouts tomorrow.

Scrapbook Sisters Challenge Number Nine

I can’t believe that we are on Challenge number nine already! The theme this week is Autumn Colours. I knew straight away that I wanted to use my Kars stamps with the little girl and boy playing in the leaves.

I used a technique that Karen at Scrapbook Sisters used on the recent Halloween Book class and after I stamped and coloured the images I used strips of cardboard built up with foam pads to create layers to attach the stamped images to. The background paper is by Sandylion and is quite old but I think that we still have a few sheets left in the shop and of course the frame is made using my favourite woodware chippies as a template.
