Here's a layout that I finished recently using the Cosmo Cricket Snorkel papers. I love the way Cosmo Cricket are incorporating pages of elements and borders in their ranges. The photo is of Martin and Matt back in 1993 in a secluded little beach on the Isle of Man.

Mojo Monday - Week 92
Here's my card for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge. I've used one of my favourite stamps, the birdhouse stamp from Magenta and also the bird stamp from Home and Heart.
I used both sides of a double sided paper but it was from my scrap drawer so there was no name on it. The ribbon was from my stash and the flowers are Prima. I coloured the images with my lovely Derwent watercolour pencils and the scalloped border was hand drawn and cut. I hope you like it.

The Deco Page Swap Continues................
My latest swap with Bev W was themed "Animals and Mammals". Well, what a purrfect opportunity to get out my cat stamps. The stamp I used is a really huge stamp and I had to use a Cuttlebug cutting plate as a acrylic block as none of mine were big enough.
I painted the image using Adirondack ink pads made a torn text paper border which I coloured with Glimmer Mists and added a quote which I inked with good old Creamy Brown Chalk Eye ink pad. I have made another page for Julie out in Australia but at the moment it is still in the post so I won't show it here until she receives it.

Mojo Monday Challenge and Fathers Day
I'm really enjoying participating in several challenges. It pushes me on to make cards which I probably wouldn't do unless it was for a birthday or Fathers Day etc. and gives me the opportunity to use colour combinations or designs that previously I haven't used.
The challenge for this weeks Mojo Monday is to use this sketch;
And here is the card that I have made for this weeks challenge
I have used Basic Grey Wisteria papers, a Penny Black stamp which was embossed with silver pearl embossing powder (I really wanted clear but couldn't find it! - but I'm happy with the result) There is a little piece of paper ribbon, that I inked to match across the middle of the card. The butterfly is made from two sizes of Woodware punch with a little Liquid Pearl in the middle. The stamped greeting is from a set of free stamps on Creativity magazine and seems to end up on most of my cards at the moment.
After initially lacking inspiration for Fathers Day cards I did a Google Image search and found a star design which I have copied in two different ways for my dad and my father in law.

A couple of new layouts.......and a couple of old ones too!
As I have started to write today I have realised that I have now made 4 layouts with the We Are Memory Keepers White Out collection which are absolutely lovely. I posted these two layouts here previously......
......and in the last couple of weeks I have made another two layouts with the same papers..............
After making four layouts from one set of papers I don't think I could even make a card out of the few scraps that I have left.....or could I?

The Next Level - Challenge 3
This weeks challenge at The Next Level is to make a card using this sketch.
And here is my interpretation of the sketch. I used a Hanglar and Stanglar stamped image (hope that's right!) from my friend Totty. I love these images! The papers are from a 6x6 pad of Papermania Sweet Nothings and the brads and ribbon are from my stash.

More deco pages
My latest deco page swap at Scrapbook Sisters has been with Sue C. Sue's theme is poetry and I must admit that I made the page first and then found a poem to fit. Here's my page...
I used a technique demonstrated by Julie at the Art Journal class and used acrylic paints to paint over printed images. I used a combination of three different images and collaged them together to give the effect that I wanted and then worked away with the acrylic paints. I definitely need more practice painting faces that was the hardest part.
Sue used the same technique for my page and painted over a photograph that she had taken some time ago of a peacock. Thanks Sue, it's lovely.

The Next Level…….
I have found a new challenge to participate in – I missed the first weeks challenge but have decided to join in with week 2 challenge. Which is…….
This week we are featuring the Ribbon Border as designed by Claire Brennan, one of our sponsors this week. You can create a card of any shape or size but your image must be enclosed by the Ribbon Border frame - that is it, the criteria for the Challenge this week.
I decided to combine the challenge with making a card for my friends birthday today and so I chose colours and papers that I thought she would particularly like.
The stamped image is one of my favourite Gorguss Girls from Scrapbook Sisters as the tulle that I used for my ribbon border . The papers are from Papermania, the butterfly is a Heidi Grace ghost shape decorated with liquid pearls and the lace was from my stash.
I have already given this card to my friend this morning and she loved it so it was a success.
I’m now looking forward to next weeks challenge.
