Here Comes Santa Claus!

Here is another fantastic digi stamp by Gayle Bond- |I wish I could draw like this! I can colour, I can shade, I can craft but I just can’t draw!

004

I coloured this lovely sleigh with Copics with lovely bright primary colours only to discover that I had no Christmas papers to match at all as my Christmas papers (and I have one or two!) are much more muted colours or more pastel colours – so after a quick visit to Scrapbook Sisters I found this lovely striped Doodlebug paper which matches the Bazzil red pom-pom trim perfectly. I finished it off with 2 Sizzlet corner die cuts in silver card and a silver peel-off.

Have a look at Scrapbook Sisters for some more lovely digi stamps with some more coming soon.

Here are a few challenges that I would like to enter;

Bee Crafty – Christmas digi stamp                                                       Marks Finest Papers – holiday card

Our Daily Bread – sparkle, dies or texture

Secret Crafter – anything that flies

Digi Doodle Shops Best – anything goes

Simon Says Stamp – punches or die-cuts

Snowflake Reindeer

005

I loved this snowflake reindeer as soon as I saw it. I love reindeer images for Christmas cards and this one is really graceful. It was designed by Gayle Bond for Scrapbook Sisters. I outlined it with pale blue Copics and coloured in the hooves and antlers. I cut an aperture in a square card and stamped acetate with white Stazon which I pit in the aperture. I used a blue snowflake paper inside the card.

Tick Tock

Tick Tock is the theme of the card challenge this week at Scrapbook Sisters.

001

This week I really wanted to use an image of the white rabbit but I haven’t got a stamp so i had to use some clip art instead with a free download from TLC Creations for the clock image and wording. The backing paper is Graphic 45 and the little gold dots are made with Liquid Pearls. The greeting is printed from the computer with a Woodware  Chippie Frame used as a template and of course coloured with my trusty Copics.

Halloween Card

Here’s a card made with one of Gayle Bond’s new digi stamps – a nice and easy card!

003

I printed the Tree Cemetery out twice and coloured with just grey Copics and then inked around the edge with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. On the second image I coloured   just the gravestones. The base is made from a folded piece of black cardstock with the main image at the back, the gravestones on the middle fold and  the Arctic Frog alpha stickers on the middle and front folds.

Pets Galore!

This weeks theme for the card challenge at Scrapbook Sisters is “Pets Galore” – which gave me the chance to use my new Kanban stamp with the cute little scottie dog.

005_crop

The image is as usual stamped and coloured with Copics – I then went through the very technical process (not) of finding the right cup/dish/plate to act as the template for the circle. The scalloped edge is made by punching circles which I cut in half and stuck just under the edge of the circle. While I was at work in the shop yesterday I decided that the card needed a nice piece of ribbon and after buying 5 different 1m lengths of ribbon I decided to add a few of them!  I made then in to little ribbon flowers by sewing a running stitch down one edge and drawing it together. the pale green flower is made from velvet rick-rac and makes a nice shaped flower. I finished them with little silver flower beads in the middle.

Don’t forget you have until next Tuesday to add your card to the challenge.

In Miniature – Number 24

Yes, the In Miniature classes at Scrapbook Sisters are 2 years old – Karen has devised a miniature (or at least smallish) project every month for 2 years. I think I joined the classes at about class number 5 or thereabouts and i have taught a couple of them as well when Karen has been busy!

Now, although I always finish making the project itself I do have a little collection of them that need photographs and finishing off. This was not the case this week – I had intended to either do the ironing or some more decorating but when I got home everyone else was out so I just thought I would do a little more work to it and then 5 1/2 hours later it was finished!

005 006 007 008 009 010 011 012 013

The whole project was made with just 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstock and 4 sheets of A4 cardstock plus patterned paper to decorate. You can see in one of the photos that there are lots of tags in the little pockets too.

Well, I still haven’t done the ironing or the decorating so I had better get on with it.

Creative Scrappers Celebrations

This week Creative Scrappers are celebrating their 125th sketch with plenty of prizes and readers layouts revealed. This was the sketch;

and here is my layout;

001 002 003

The paper is American Crafts, the alpha stickers are Papermania, the little acetate hearts are Heidi Swapp and the little love badge is from Paperchase. The cherry embellishments are cut from the patterned paper, stuck to a 2” white cardstock circle and then highlighted with Glossy Accents.

The photo is of Holly when she was about 18mths old. We were on holiday in Norfolk and because her older brother was having a ride on these coin operated go-carts she wanted a go too but she was too young to control the go-cart so we just sat her on it and that seemed to be enough to keep her happy!

Don’t forget to check out the card challenge at Scrapbook Sisters – the theme this week is Flower Power.
