Copic Colour Challenge - week 53

When I read Julie's blog Rainbow Days I found a new challenge blog, Copic Colour Challenge. Their challenge for this week is to use colours YG03 - Yellow-Green, Y17 - Golden-Yellow and G7 Cool Grey No 7. The challenge allows you to you a similar colour if you do not have the exact ones. This is the card that I made;

The papers are Basic Grey and the stamp is from Kars which I coloured with the appropriate copics.

I have been to Stamperama at Stevenage today and come come with several more stamps  to try out. I'm not working tomorrow so guess what I'll be doing???

I love my copics!

I love my Copic Ciao pens and I am finding all this colouring and shading very relaxing but I decided I better do something with all these coloured images so I made a few cards.

A double layout

While we were on holiday a couple of years ago we visited The Museum of Fashion in Bath. We didn't realise until we got there that there was a display of dresses worn by Marilyn Munroe and designed by Billy Travilla. The dresses were fantastic although with time they were showing signs of deterioration.

I had so many photos and the leaflet that a double layout was required to squeeze it all on.

The title is a quote from Marilyn about the fashion designer.

52 in 10 weeks 4 & 5

The prompt for week for was music - I didn't have any one particular song or group that meant something special to me so I decided to journal about music in general and for someone who used to find it hard to journal, once I got started I didn't know where to stop, in fact I could have written more. The paper is from Piggy Tales.

The prompt for week 5 is family and I decided to use a photo that I haven't scrapped before. The photo is scanned from a print and was not a particularly good photo but when I cropped it the photo came to life - it was the first time that Matthew met his new baby sister Holly. The paper is from the DCWV Green stack. These pages are all 8x8 which is the first time I have scrapped in this format, usually preferring 12x12.

P.S. I changed the look of my blog the other day, what do you think?

Creative Scrappers Sketch #89

Here is this weeks sketch

Creative_Scrappers_89

and here is my version of it,

6th february 001

I used 2 identical sheets of Bo Bunny  Believe Dreams paper and the fabric is Rag Weave which I bought from Scrapbook Sisters several years ago but just seemed to fit in nicely. The photograph is of my son's first Christmas 18 years ago - wasn't he cute!

52 in 10

I've started a new weekly challenge run by Scrapdolly called 52 in 10 (i.e. there are 52 prompts in 2010). I have completed the first three prompts but have had trouble with my printer (all sorted now!) so need to catch up on the last two weeks.

The first prompt was a review of the last decade which when I started journaling turned out to be quite an emotional process. The photo card in the top left hand corner is me and ET taken at the BT exhibition at the Millennium Dome.27th January 004crop

The second weeks prompt was about my aims for the future which when I came to write them down are really quite modest!

The third weeks prompt was all about what what my advice to me as a child would be - this took some thinking about.

Well, I have two more prompts to catch up on before the next one is due on Sunday so I had better get crafting!
